“Wired” the John Belushi story is a good one. Spends quit a bit of the book talking about his drug addictions. There is also quit a bit of SNL stuff too.

There’s a book, though its an ethnography, not a memoir that is excellent and deals with the subject. An ethnographer lives in El Barrio ( in New York City) and lives with crack dealers and the people whose lives are influenced by it. Its a wonderful book.
