I think if someone is going to abuse their body, that they should be required to insure themselves privately. And not give the public the cost of treating substance abuse.

She is 40 plus and has been addicted to drugs and alcohol for over 20 years. She has lost her home, job and eyerthing else. She is a danger to herself and her family. She has been in rehab several times but went right back to her old ways. I need any suggestions of who I can talk to to get her help before that call comes to come and identify the body.

I have started taking lortabs for my knee about 9 months ago, I just found out that I need a arthoscope done on August 13. I also relapsed from heroine which I been doing everyday for the last 2 months to stop the pain. When I can’t get heroine I use lortabs and sometimes snort them to stop the pain. I made a promise to my friends that I would quit using heroine. I know I can stop heroine, but the lortabs I defiantely need them right now. My question is this, if I continue to use lortabs will this make me crave for heroine?

First – no, I don’t do drugs. I have a loved one who does.
I heard of something that’s being tested – such as a thing implanted in someone’s arm – it does something to the brain – and it guarantees that they won’t do drugs ever again. It sounds bogus to me (or people would use it). But thought I’d ask.

Im in a rehab now for using meth; trying to quit but when i leave my therapist i come home and i night i taste and i smell it and it makes me want it. What can i do for myself to ease these cravings.

My son is about to undergo treatment for his heroin addiction and he says that he doesn’t want to do it alone, that maybe we could be there for him sometimes, even if it’s only for a few sessions. Are there drug rehabs that allow this?

Just out of curiosity, which drug causes you to want to suck on a pacifier??? I seen people who actually do that and i heard it was because of the drug they were on…. and WHY do they feel the need to do that???
